Be Active!

Research done in 2013 by Chatterjee and Noble concluded that museums provide some surprising mental health benefits including:

  • positive social experiences, leading to reduced social isolation
  • calming experiences, leading to decreased anxiety
  • increased self-esteem and sense of identity

Below are some upcoming events and activities you can engage in to get your boost of mental well-being at the Farmington Museum. And make sure check out our summer Gateways Activity Guide here for a full prescription of activities!
